Course Descriptions:
Life Insurance Basics (Course Approval Number: 41460)
...is designed to provide training for insurance agents to maintain licensing. You will learn and discuss the role of each of the following in selling and administering life insurance in today's market and why people purchase a particular type; history, purpose, term and permanent insurance; policy riders; policy provisions; and settlement options.
Medicare and Medicare Supplements (Course Approval Number: 45112)
...is designed to help the attendee understand what Medicare is and what it does. The class covers eligibility, Part A and Part B coverage as well as exclusions. Medicare Part D will be introduced. The course will also examine Medicare Supplement coverage including Medicare Advantage plans.
Life Insurance Fact Finding (Course Approval Number: 64811)
This course will give the attendee a clear understanding of the many uses of life insurance and for whom it's intended. A life insurance fact finder is covered in depth with Social Security Survivor benefits. Large and small group work on life insurance case studies follows.
Individual Health (Course Approval Number: 41458)
...provides insurance agents with training to maintain licensing by discussing medical savings accounts and comparing to individual health insurance policies offered to individuals in the state of Wisconsin; relate to supplemental policies--cancer, accidental death and dismemberment, dread diseases policies; describe small group insurance, continuation for small group, and COBRA; and state the basic Medicare supplement policies.
College Funding/Pre-Retirement Planning for Baby Boomers (Course Approval Number: 39932)
...is designed to provide training to insurance agents to maintain licensing. You will discuss the baby boomer generation, their demographics and needs; evaluate college funding for children in terms of cost of education, savings, vehicles and other options; review retirement planning; relate to Social Security and defined benefit, contribution and individual savings plans; show how trusts, estate planning documents and Long Term Care insurance fit into the picture.
Ethics Part II (Course Approval Number: 41459)
...is designed to provide training to insurance agents to maintain licensing. It will review Ethics I; discuss the importance of policy delivery, follow up and service work; explain suitability; recognize customer needs, wants, and personalities; and participate in group discussions.
All seminars will be held at Lakeshore Technical College,
Cleveland Campus (I-43, Exit 137) in the room listed above.
