Program Sheet
About the Career
Quality assurance is a program for the systematic
monitoring and evaluation of the various aspects
of a project, service, or facility to ensure that
standards of quality are being met. In simple
business terms, quality assurance is the difference
between success and failure. If you believe in the
idea of “quality in, quality out,” and you want to
play a vital role in helping an organization
achieve success through quality, LTC's Quality
Assurance Technician program is the way to
realize your goal.
Students in LTC's ACCELerated Quality Assurance Technician program learn the specialized activities such as product and process audits, quality philosophies, sampling plans, print reading, mathematical skills and metrology that are needed by the hi-tech quality technicians of today. Plus, classes are fine-tuned for people who already have work experience, so your time isn't wasted learning things you don't really need to reach your goals.
Career Outlook
As the importance of international standards such as ISO 9001 or QS 9000 become more prevalent, so does the need for well-trained quality assurance personnel. Job opportunities for quality assurance technicians are expected to be excellent well into the next decade.
