International trade directors to meet with local exporters

CLEVELAND, WI –
The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation's Trade Directors Visit will be held May 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Orion Energy Systems, Manitowoc.
Representatives of Wisconsin's international trade offices – Claudia Tomaselli (Brazil), Nancy Ward (Canada), Mark Rhoda-Reis (Central America, South America and Europe) and Paul Swenson (China) will give presentations to local exporters on export opportunities in their respective markets.
Limited one-on-one, 20-minute consulting appointments will be available with the trade directors. Attendees may request a consultation when registering.
Other presentations will cover the ports of Milwaukee and Green Bay; the newly created free trade zone; the WI EDC's overview of import/export opportunities; and ExporTech, a program that assists companies in international export.
Additional activities will include roundtable discussions with experts, a networking luncheon and tours of Orion Energy Systems.
The Manitowoc visit is intended to cover the Fox Valley, Green Bay and Lakeshore regions as the trade directors are not traveling to each of these areas this year.
Lakeshore International Networking and Knowledge exchange is sponsoring the event. LINKe is a consortium comprised of the Economic Development Corporation of Manitowoc County, Lakeshore Technical College and the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce.
