| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 01/11/08 CLEVELAND, WI– Lakeshore Technical College invites the public to attend a free one-hour seminar on avoiding legal risks while online. Attorney and student advocate C. L. Lindsay will present “Campus Computing and the Law” on Jan. 23 at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria in the Lakeshore Building at LTC’s Cleveland campus. Attendees will learn about their online rights for social networking Web sites like MySpace© and Facebook© as well as relevant laws, possible liabilities and self-protection while online. Lindsay will discuss online information in relation to privacy, potential employers, and plagiarism of intellectual property. The seminar is geared toward college students, but school personnel, parents and any other interested individuals are welcome and may gain beneficial insights. Preregistration for the seminar is not required.
