LTC to host Financial Aid Awareness Day

Lakeshore Technical College is holding Financial Aid Awareness Day on Feb. 6 for new and continuing students to apply for financial aid for the 2008-09 school year.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Student Lounge in the Lakeshore Building at LTC’s Cleveland campus. The event is free, and pre–registration is not required.

Financial aid staff will help students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and answer any questions. Lenders also will be on hand to answer questions about student loans, and scholarship information will be available.

Students need to bring the following items:

  • Social Security numbers (student and parent(s) for dependent students; student and spouse for independent students)
  • Driver’s license
  • 2007 federal tax returns (student and parent(s) for dependent students; student and spouse for independent students)
  • 2007 untaxed income records (Social Security, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, welfare or veterans benefits records)
  • Alien registration card (if not a U.S. citizen)

Each student who completes a financial aid application that day will be entered into a drawing for a $250 scholarship.
