About the Career
Training in the human resources function’s requirements and regulations necessary to work effectively as a human resource specialist or as a manager with broad human resource responsibilities needed in all types of businesses. Challenging opportunities exist for training in the supervisor’s role in an HR environment which includes setting up a training program, implementing a safety orientation plan and applying safety awareness, applying legal practices in both union and nonunion environments, hiring and firing of employees, managing a payroll system, and designing a compensation and benefits package for employees.

Employment opportunities for those interested in the human resource field are growing as the need for qualified personnel increases and positions open due to retirements.

Schedule
Varies—Associate degree program courses offered days (3-hour blocks) and some in the evenings, 1 night per week for 8 weeks. Visit gotoltc.edu/classlisting to see a copy our classes being offered.
